A High Holidays Mitzvah opportunity: supporting local Nepali communities through direct, on-the-ground giving.

Dear Friends,
In late August 2026, a glacial collapse near the Tibet-China border unleashed catastrophic flash flooding along the Trishuli River and the valleys below it. Entire villages have vanished beneath the water, stone, and mud. More than a thousand lives have already been lost, and thousands more are still unaccounted for. Additionally, dozens of bridges, roads, and hydropower plants have been reduced to rubble, leaving remote mountain communities cut off from the outside world
at the exact moment they need it most.
Some of you may know Laura Voskova, Executive Director of Fill-ABelly and founder of Culturekova. After learning of the devastation that has impacted so many Nepali people, she started Culturekova
Foundation.

As High Holidays approach, we’re honored to be part of this mitzvah opportunity: joining Culturekova on a humanitarian aid mission to Nepal. Everyone is welcome, with opportunities ranging from holding a child’s hand and reading them a story, to rolling up your sleeves and delivering needed goods to impacted families.
The mission of Culturekova Foundation is to ensure that we spend as much of our donations on the ground in Nepal, in local markets, with local vendors, alongside the very communities we’ve come to serve. It’s a model built on dignity, not dependency: we show up to work beside people, not to hand things down to them. Below is an overview of 3 ways to help this High Holidays season.

With gratitude, Laura Culturekova Foundation
Nepal Mitzvah Opportunities

Three Ways to Take Part
1. Be the Boots on the Ground Join Laura in Nepal on October 12th or later to serve local communities directly. You will spend your first two days in Kathmandu acclimating to the time change and altitude (4,600 feet). Thereafter, you will go where you are needed most. It may be
staying in Kathmandu or it may be going near the impacted areas. The key to being on this trip is being flexible with your mind and spirit. We are there for them.
Given Laura will be on the ground for six weeks, if you are unable to join on October 12th, she is able to make arrangements for you to join at a later date, as she has extensive resources in Nepal that are
willing to help the Culturekova team. Feel free to make arrangements that fit your schedule, knowing that 14 days is a good time period to be on the ground. But if you want to stay for a shorter or longer
period of time, that is amazing as well. The cost of the trip is $2,500 per person. - Visit culturekova.com to sign up for a discovery session, or - Email Laura@Culturekova.com
to state your interest.

2. Support the Effort with Purchasing from the Amazon Wish
You can help by purchasing PPE and gear items directly for our volunteers to bring with them on October 12, a simple, tangible way to equip the people carrying out this mission.

3. Make a Tax-Deductible Contribution Financial gifts fund on-theground purchases in Nepal, including building materials, supplies, and resources sourced from local vendors, and provide scholarships covering trip expenses in whole for those unable to afford them, maximizing impact for the community we’re serving.
